7 LA Hotels to Consider For Your Next Business Trip

In a city so spread out like LA, wherever you decide to set up shop is likely where you are going to spend the majority of your time. Take my word, and don’t make the rookie mistake of booking a room in downtown Los Angeles if your meetings take you to Santa Monica—unless you enjoy spending most of your time in the car and have a killer Spotify playlist (or five).

Instead, map out your meetings and pick a hotel that’s close by or else you’ll be racking up some serious Uber bills. Here are 7 hotels to check out and check into the next time your business meetings bring you to La La Land.

Loews Hollywood Hotel

The first thing you should know is that most locals avoid Hollywood Boulevard like the plague. It’s a tourist infested trap (shocking). But if you must stay in the vicinity, check out Loews Hollywood Hotel which is just off the main strip and offers a 24-hour FedEx Business Center for all those last minute printing needs and complimentary shoe shine, as well as a rooftop pool.

It also happens to be a short 15 minute walk from the Hollywood Bowl (score!) so don’t forget to take a peek at the calendar and check out a live performance at one of the city’s best musical venues.

W Los Angeles

Don’t be fooled. While the W Hotel in Westwood is technically located adjacent to UCLA (warning: college kids galore) the trendy hotel tends to attract suited professionals looking for a centrally located place to stay with easy access to the 405 freeway.

And whether you’re craving a fancy filet mignon dinner at STK steakhouse (in the hotel), or a Double-Double burger from In-N-Out just down the street, the W Los Angeles is a great choice for travelers looking for a more laid back hotel experience.

The London West Hollywood

Right in the middle of The Sunset Strip, The London West Hollywood is ideal for business travelers looking to stay in the heart of the city. The chic, all-suite hotel and home to the largest penthouse in Los Angeles at over 11,000 square feet, is just minutes away from some of LA’s biggest attractions like Rodeo Drive, Los Angeles County Museum of Art and the Original Farmers Market at The Grove.

But perhaps, my favorite part of the hotel lies ten floors above ground. The stunning rooftop pool with panoramic views of the city and picturesque palm trees towering above boasts one of the most beautiful backdrops for a day of sunbathing (err, working) by the pool.

Hotel Indigo Los Angeles Downtown

A hotel that truly embodies it’s surroundings, Hotel Indigo in Downtown LA takes pride in the local flair infused throughout the property. Drawing design inspiration from the city like the neon lights that represent the vibrant LA nightlife, or the spa-style bathrooms that emulate Hollywood glamour, Hotel Indigo also offers a touchscreen neighborhood guide in the lobby to help guests discover some of the city’s nearby gems like Walt Disney Concert Hall, The Flower District, and Bottega Louie.

And if you’re craving a mental break, the newly launched, Sunday Speak Easy Yoga is a nod to the Jazz Age with a playlist of classic 1920’s music from the likes of Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong where yogis are guided through a series of breathing exercises to relax the mind and body. Namaste!

Montage Beverly Hills

For the luxury business traveler who loves to indulge, the Montage Beverly Hills in the heart of the famous Golden Triangle is the perfect place to put your head down. The sophisticated urban oasis offers tons of nooks and crannies, ideal for business meetings or a quiet place to get work done. When you’re ready to unwind, book yourself an appointment at the 20,000 square foot, two-level spa and treat yourself to one of the luxurious treatments like the Beverly Body Bliss.

And if weather permits, (which is practically always in LA) grab a seat in the sprawling garden and enjoy a little dose of vitamin D while people watching.

The Jeremy Hotel

One of the newer hotels to open in West Hollywood, The Jeremy Hotel features 236 guest rooms and 2 penthouse suites all offering stunning views of the Hollywood Hills. The cool and modern interior design fuses old and new Hollywood charm, features artwork on display from local and international artists and is also equipped with a 24-hour fitness and business center with Mac work stations and printers.

The hotel also offers guests a complimentary car service that will drop you off anywhere within a 2 mile radius, because this is LA, and no one walks more than 200 feet. No, really.

Viceroy Santa Monica

If your business meetings take you to the Westside, or if you really just want to be near the ocean (and why wouldn’t you want to be, you’re in LA?), the Viceroy in Santa Monica is conveniently located just steps away from the sand and the world famous Muscle Beach. The hotel has a partnership with Priority Bikes which offers hotel guests complimentary beach cruisers along with a map of hot spots to scope out during their ride.

Located on Ocean Avenue, the swanky hotel is also just a short drive away from the hipster hangout, Abbot Kinney Boulevard in Venice and Main Street, the local stretch sprinkled with pubs, coffee shops and retail stores.
