What’s New
Introducing the TravelBank ‘Book on Behalf of Another’ experience (we are calling this feature BOBA). Travel managers and executive assistants often juggle travel itineraries for multiple people. This task can be incredibly challenging without the right tools, so we created a booking experience on the TravelBank desktop app that empowers these users to easily book and manage travel for others.
Now, users can select traveler profiles from a convenient dropdown menu, saving time on the booking process. Best of all, communication is streamlined by making all the information about a trip available and accessible to the person booking, while keeping the traveler informed along the way.
Book on Behalf of Another with TravelBank
Travel managers and executive assistants who book on behalf of another can now book flights, hotels, and car rentals for the travelers they manage through the TravelBank desktop platform with ease. It’s the same simple booking process that users have come to love, with an upgraded feature for selecting the traveler on the checkout page.
Web Bookings
When spending time with users who book travel for others on TravelBank, we found that all of them prefer using the TravelBank desktop app on the web to get the job done.
To improve their user experience and fit into their workflow we built the new ‘Book on Behalf of Another’ experience specifically for desktop, are already seeing power users discover and adopt the feature on their own, and now nearly 30% of TravelBank users book on behalf of another traveler.
Select from Dropdown of Traveler Profiles
Using a dropdown, we have made traveler profiles accessible and editable.
When booking for someone else, travel managers and executive assistants can quickly select between the different travelers they manage, pulling in saved traveler profiles, including frequent flyer numbers for loyalty programs.
Create New Traveler Profiles
To add a new traveler profile, simply toggle from Book For Myself to Book For Someone Else, then select to create a new traveler in the dropdown menu. Once a new traveler profile is created, the traveler’s information is saved in the dropdown list for ease of use on repeat bookings.
Manage Bookings for Multiple Travelers
Travel managers and executive assistants are power users who need more control over information. Through the TravelBank ‘Book on Behalf of Another’ experience, we have added the ability for these users to view, modify, and cancel a booking for someone else from their own TravelBank account. This speeds up and simplifies itinerary management.
