Giving Back to Our Community with Larkin Street Youth Services
TravelBank is teaming up with Larkin Street Youth Services to help provide support for the more than 1,100 young people who find themselves affected by homelessness each night in San Francisco.
Since 1984, Larkin Street Youth Services has given more than 75,000 young people a safe place to rebuild their lives by providing housing, education and employment training, and health and wellness support. This nationally recognized service model is changing lives: three out of four youth who complete their housing programs exit homelessness!
As a business, we believe that giving back to the community in which we are growing and building our business is an extremely important responsibility of ours.
Each year, TravelBank holds a silent auction to raise money for a local organization. Team members donate their expertise, talents, time, and fun items like rare whiskey or season tickets, and things get bid up quickly.
This year we also mailed out scratch off holiday cards to our customers and community. Some of the cards scratched off to reveal the gift of a donation made by TravelBank on their behalf. All proceeds from our silent auction and the scratch offs were donated to Larkin Street Youth Services.
