Fintech Veteran and Snowflake Alum, Lloyd Hsieh, Joins TravelBank for Next Phase of Growth
TravelBank is excited to announce the addition of Lloyd Hsieh as Head of Finance. Lloyd is a finance veteran with extensive experience at enterprise software and fintech SaaS companies, including Snowflake.
In this role, Lloyd will provide operational and strategic leadership, while managing the Finance and Accounting departments at TravelBank. Lloyd will be responsible for the development and execution of the financial strategy and operations that support TravelBank’s short-term and long-term business plans. Lloyd will also work closely with the senior leadership team and provide strategic insights on business critical decisions to drive profitability and growth.
“The COVID-19 pandemic has put a strong focus on financial health. So while we continue to sign all-in-one customers looking for an end-to-end expense, travel, and card management solution, it’s become critical to deliver better controls, clearer insights, and a dedicated support experience to the finance and accounting teams that depend on TravelBank to understand and optimize their business spend,” said Duke Chung, co-founder and CEO of TravelBank. “Hiring a Head of Finance that truly understands the benefits of our product was extremely important to the team. Lloyd’s forward-thinking approach to managing finances with a modern suite of tools, along with his experience scaling SaaS startups, will open the door to new opportunities that will benefit our high-growth client base.
Most recently, Lloyd served as a Vice President and Head of Finance for BitGo, the leader in digital asset financial services, providing institutional investors and crypto platforms with liquidity, custody, and security. There, Lloyd built and managed the Finance and Accounting teams for scalability as the company expanded its footprint globally into Europe, Asia, and other parts of the world. Prior to BitGo, Lloyd was the Head of Strategic Finance and FP&A at Snowflake where he helped the company scale intelligently and efficiently, growing from less than 100 people to over 400 people and positioned it for the largest software initial public offering in history.
“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to work with TravelBank during this pivotal time,” said Hsieh. “Right now, financial health is the most important asset a business can have, and TravelBank is built to provide the insights companies need to understand their own financial wellbeing and make strategic decisions for their future. The current business climate is going to accelerate B2B fintech innovations, and we are poised to lead that charge.”
Over the last six months, TravelBank has expanded its reach through partnerships, including a reseller partnership with World Travel Inc. and a product integration with U.S. Bank’s Instant Card that provides a virtual card, an expense management, and travel solution in one single platform. Most recently, Travelbank expanded its partnership with Brex to help them power gift card redemption for Brex Rewards.
